Usually by this point in the year, we’ve heard about at least three new beers and five new canned cocktails and hard seltzers launching for summer. And while there’s been a fair share of alcoholic beverages hitting shelves, like Truly’s new Pool Party hard seltzer packs and Busch Light Lime, the soda wars are what have really been raging this month.
We’ve already seen Diet Cherry Coke headed back to shelves, Sprite + Tea making a controversial entrance, and two new Mountain Dew flavors in stores. Now, as if two summer Mountain Dew flavors weren’t enough, the soda brand has decided to add one more.
Joining its Summer Freeze and Dragon Fruit flavors, Mountain Dew is bringing back its limited-edition Infinite Swirl soda. However, just like last year, there’s a catch with this latest drink—it’s only available at select convenience stores.
Mountain Dew Bringing Back 7-Eleven-Exclusive Flavor
Following the successful launch of Infinite Swirl last summer, the pineapple- and berry-flavored Mountain Dew is headed back to 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores. The flavor will be sold in 20-ounce bottles exclusively at those locations beginning June 25 for a limited time.
Fans fell in love with the pop last year, saying Mountain Dew should make it a “permanent flavor.” While it’s still a limited-time offering, Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl did get a bit of an upgrade this year. The label received an eye-catching redesign to reflect Mountain Dew’s new logo.
Additionally, this year, 7-Eleven is introducing a Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl Big Gulp and Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl Slurpee. Rumor has it, according to Instagram user @teamsupernovafb, the Infinite Swirl soda fountain flavor will replace Mountain Dew’s Pitch Black flavor, but 7-Eleven didn’t confirm if that was true.
Once you’ve hit 7-Eleven for your favorite Slurpee and Infinite Swirl pop, there’s even more Mountain Dew fun to be had at Circle K. That convenience store has its own exclusive summer flavor, Mountain Dew Summer Sparkler, that you won’t want to miss. The new slushie is inspired by the iconic red, white, and blue ice pops, similar to the Summer Freeze flavor available in grocery stores.
Since we haven’t really seen a cocktail pick up as the drink of the summer, yet, could it be Mountain Dew’s year to shine? With four limited-edition flavors out now, it just might be.
