A Head Full of Ghosts
Variety reports Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala (The Lodge, Goodnight Mommy) are attached to direct the film adaptation of Paul Tremblay’s novel, A Head Full of Ghosts. The story follows the Barretts, “whose normal suburban New England life is torn apart when their teenage daughter shows signs of acute schizophrenia, reluctantly leading them to be the subjects of a reality show, The Possession. Some 15 years later, Merry faces her family’s haunting past when a journalist is assigned to help tell her side of the story and uncovers the very nature of evil.”
Ash
According to Deadline, Amazon Prime Video has spent nearly ten-million dollars to acquire the international rights to Ash, the upcoming sci-fi/thriller from Flying Lotus starring Eiza González, Aaron Paul, Iko Uwais, Beulah Koale and Kate Elliott. The story is said to concern a woman (Eiza González) “who wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed, and must then decide if she can trust the man (Aaron Paul) sent to rescue her. But as their investigation into what happened sets in motion a terrifying chain of events, he begins to wonder how innocent she really is.”
Greenland 2
Deadline additionally reports Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin will both return for Greenland 2, which plans to begin filming in the UK this April. In the sequel, “the Garrity family must leave the safety of the Greenland bunker after the comet ‘Clarke’ decimated the earth and the family embarks on a harrowing journey across the wasteland of Europe to find a new home”.

Another End
A new technology meant to “ease the pain of separation by briefly bringing back to life the consciousness of a person who died” naturally goes awry in the trailer for Another End, starring Gael García Bernal and Renate Reinsve.
Sherlock & Daughter
TV Line reports David Thewlis and Blu Hunt will star in Sherlock & Daughter, a new series for the CW putting the detective Holmes (Thewlis) “out of his comfort zone, mysteriously unable to investigate a sinister case without risking the lives of his closest friends. Enter: young American Amelia (Hunt). After her mother’s mysterious murder, she learns her missing father may be the legendary detective. Despite wildly different backgrounds and attitudes, the pair must work together to solve a global conspiracy, crack her mother’s murder and find out for sure if she really is Sherlock’s daughter.”
True Detective: Night Country
Finally, HBO has released another trailer for this week’s season finale of True Detective: Night Country.
