Le Creuset Berry Re-Launch

Estimated read time 3 min read

Le Creuset is recognized the world over for the quality and durability of its cookware. Whether we’re simmering soup in its cast-iron Dutch ovens, sipping coffee from its stoneware mugs or boiling water for tea in its steel kettles, we here at EatingWell jump at any opportunity to incorporate a new Le Creuset piece into our collections.

But looking beyond functionality, the brand is equally famous for the colors that decorate its cookware. Some shades, like cerise, flame and sea salt, are readily available, while others appear for brief periods of time before fading into retirement. We mourn our favorites when they leave and eagerly await new drops when they arrive.

As of today, one of our most-loved colors has finally returned after a six-year hiatus: Berry. The gorgeous hue straddles the line between pink and purple and comes paired with gold knobs for an elegant yet striking look that will instantly brighten any kitchen. It’s only available for a limited time, so we suggest moving quickly before pieces sell out.

3.5-Quart Signature Braiser

Le Creuset

Braisers are too often overlooked in the kitchen. Where a Le Creuset Dutch oven’s walls are straight and high, its cast-iron braiser’s are sloped and short. This design lends itself to dishes that require wide cooking surfaces, long simmers and more room to reduce liquid. Think: caramelized onions and braised brisket. We’re ecstatic that Le Creuset decided to grace this pan design with its gorgeous berry color.

4.5-Quart Signature Round Dutch Oven

Le Creuset

Of course, Le Creuset’s most popular pot has also been coated in berry and crowned with a gold knob: the Dutch oven. At 4.5 quarts, it’s the ideal size if you regularly cook about 5 servings of food at a time. Whether you’re roasting a whole chicken or making high-protein lentil soup, this pot has you covered.

6.75-Quart Signature Oval Dutch Oven

Le Creuset

For those of you cooking for larger groups of people, it pays to size up to the 6.75-quart oval model. As with the two aforementioned cast-iron pieces, this Dutch oven is dishwasher-safe, coated in enamel to prevent sticking, compatible with all cooktops and oven-safe up to 500°F. Such durability means it’s easy to clean, easy to use and well worth the price. Snag yours now in berry; it’s an iconic color for an iconic shape, but it won’t be around for long.
