The PG-rated adventure follows Bea (Cailey Fleming), a girl who learns she can see imaginary friends and sets out to help the “IFs” whose kids have forgotten them. If also stars Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski (who wrote and directed the film) and features the voices of household names such as Steve Carell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, George Clooney and Emily Blunt.

If will join other kid-friendly titles on Paramount Plus, and this summer the streamer will also release a second season of SpongeBob SquarePants spin-off series Kamp Koral (July 10) and the new show Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Aug. 9). The imagination-focused fantasy flick premiered in theaters on May 17. If you’re interested in streaming it, here’s what you need to know.

If movie’s release date on Paramount Plus

The star-studded film will drop overnight in Eastern Time on Tuesday, July 9, for folks in the US and Canada. Based somewhere else? Paramount Plus said If’s “availability in additional international Paramount+ markets will be announced at a later date.”

Paramount Plus’ Essential and Showtime plans currently cost $6 and $12 a month, respectively, but on Aug. 20, the price goes up for new customers and some existing customers. Essential will cost $8 and the Showtime plan will cost $13 a month. The cost of annual plans won’t change — a year of Essential will still cost $60 and Paramount Plus with Showtime will remain $120.

Trying to choose between Paramount Plus Essential and Paramount Plus with Showtime plans? Essential is the cheaper of the two and is ad-supported. Paramount Plus with Showtime isn’t completely ad-free but only displays commercials on “live TV and a few shows.” If you want Showtime programming, the ability to download titles and your local live CBS station, you’ll only get that with Paramount Plus with Showtime.
